I think that these
three don'ts are trying to say not to blame something else for your
own mistakes. Sometimes people do something wrong, and they start to blame
other things so that it won't seem as if they did something wrong. John Wooden is trying
to say that people should whine, complain, or make excuses for something that
is little even something that is big.
